Talkswitch / Fortivoice 350i or 550i IP Phone Not Booting Up

To fully restore a 350i or 550i phones, follow the instructions below. Should you require further assistance with your TalkSwitch / Fotivoice product, Please call toll free 1-866-393-9960.
  1. View the Talkswitch / Fortivoice Phone Updater instruction from their website

    2. For the 550i, click here:http://www.fortivoice.com/support/ipPhoneUpdates/ts550i.aspx
  2. Download and install Tftpd32, available at  http://tftpd32.jounin.net/download/Tftpd32-3.28-setup.exe
  3. Open the Tftp32.exe program, from C:\Program Files\Tftpd32
  4. Click the Browse button, and browse to C:\Program Files\TalkSwitch\TalkSwitch Phone Updater 1.10\tftp\TS_L and highlight the firmware folder therein. Click OK.
  5. Note the Server Interface IP address in the TFTPD32 program.

To reset 350i or 550i phone:
  1. Disconnect power from the IP Phone.
  2. For 550i phones, press and hold the [Up] and [2] button while reapplying power. For the 350i, press the Volume Up button + [2] button.
  3. Release the buttons when the Message LED goes out.
  4. When the BootC screen appears, enter 1234 for the password.
  5. Follow the prompts to configure IP parameters for the IP Phone, to be valid for the LAN that the phone is connected on.
  6. At the “Server Addr?” prompt, enter the Server Interface IP from step 5 above. Press the [Next] button.
  7. At the “Do you want to apply default?” prompt select the [Yes] softkey to use default or [No] softkey to use previously assigned parameters.
The IP Phone will reboot and return to normal operation.
