The first thing to check is to make sure that the TalkSwitch is on the most recent version of firmware. If it is not, make sure to upate it. If the firmware is updated than follow the instructions below:
1) Make sure the Do Not Disturb feature is set to Off.
2) Make a test call from this extension to either the voicemail box, another extension, or an outside phone call.
- If you are unable to make a call make sure that the phone is registered (the extension number and name of the user will be on the screen and there should not multiple red / amber lights on any of the buttons).
- If the phone is registered, you will need to reboot the TalkSwitch system. Do this within the TalkSwitch Configuration Software by clicking Tools --> Reboot TalkSwitch...
- If the phone is not registered, set the phone to factory default settings (this is within the user guide of the phone) and reboot the phone.
3) If you are still unable to receive calls on the extension, make sure the phone has the proper TFTP Server settings in the configuration. This should be set as the IP address of the proxy TalkSwitch system on your network. This can be found in the user guide of the phone as well.
